- Reduce track points GPX file
A GPX file can be read as an Activity. The file should not contain more than 5,000 track points.
If the GPX file to be read has more than 5,000 track points, the following message appears: 'Het GPX bestand bevat te veel trackpunten. Reduceer het aantal van .... tot minder dan 5500 punten. Het bestand is niet opgeslagen.' (= The GPX file contains too many track points. Please reduce the number from .... to less than 5,500 points. The file has not been saved.)
On the website https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input it is easy to reduce a GPX file.
Choose ‘Advanced options’ and set ‘Max. points per track’ to a maximum of 5,000.
After this, the file can be read as an Activity.
